The Tunisian interior ministry said on Wednesday that Italian police has arrested a Moroccan national suspected of providing logistical support to the Bardo museum terrorist attack, according to the Tunisian official news agency TAP.

Mohamed Ali Aroui, spokesperson for the interior ministry, told TAP that the Moroccan suspect is called Abdelmajid Tawil, and was "wanted by Tunisian authorities." An international search warrant was previously issued during the search for Tawil.

Aroui added that Tunisian authorities are currently coordinating with their Italian counterparts in order to send the suspect to Tunisia for further interrogation, followed by a trial.
