UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday that he will visit the Kaesong Industrial Complex in the border town of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Thursday.

NEW DELHI -- An Indian Air Force's fighter jet SU-30 MKI crashed in the northeastern Indian state of Assam Tuesday, a senior police official said.
However, both the pilots ejected safely, he said, on condition of anonymity.
"The crash happened moments after the aircraft took off from an Indian Air Force base in the state's Tejpur district," the official said. (India-Jet Crash)

NEW DELHI -- A passenger plane of national carrier Air India, with 169 people on board, made an emergency landing at an airport in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a senior aviation official said.
"The plane, an Airbus A-321, made an emergency landing at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in state capital Lucknow after one of the pilots spotted a crack in the aircraft's windscreen. TRINKOT, Afghanistan -- Four policemen were injured as a bicycle bomb went off in Uruzgan provincial capital Trinkot city 370 km south of Kabul on Tuesday, spokesman for the provincial government Dost Mohammad Nayab said.
"Terrorists planted explosive device into the cavities of a bicycle and detonated it next to a police checkpoint in Trinkot city at 11:30 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) injuring four police personnel, according to our preliminary reports," Nayab told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Bombing) Endi
