Xinhua, May 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Dynamo Kiev beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 1-0 on Sunday night to secure the Ukrainian Premier League title for the first time in six years.

The only goal in the match from Domagoj Vida at the 84th minute was enough for the team from Kiev to win the match and become the Ukrainian soccer champion of season 2014-2015 in front of their home crowd at the Olympic stadium.

Dynamo has secured the title with 62 points from 24 games in the 14-team tournament with two matches yet to be played.

Currently, the "white-blues" have a seven-point lead over the defending champions Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro ranked the third with 50 points.

Dynamo had won 14 Ukrainian Premier League titles since the tournament was established in 1992. Endi
