EU foreign policy chief to tour Middle East next week

Federica Mogherini, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will travel to the Middle East on May 20-21, it was announced here on Friday.

Mogherini will meet both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during her visit, along with a number of other Israeli and Palestinian interlocutors, the European External Action Service (EEAS), or the EU's foreign affairs arm, said.

Mogherini will discuss the bilateral relations as well as prospects for the Middle East Peace Process during the visit, said EEAS. Endit
