Myanmar skaters are gearing up for competing in the world class skate competitions as Myanmar won support of skate associations from most of the countries, according to Myanmar Skate Association Friday.

"We are trying to be able to participate in the world class skate events in the future," an official of the association said.

The third skating competition is scheduled to take place here on June 6 and 7, it said adding that more than 300 skaters are expected to compete in the event.

With over 40 awards, the competition will feature 11 categories of skating including racing men, racing women, U-13 junior kid(jam) , junior freestyle and skateboard racing.

In December last year, over 100 skaters took part in the skating competition held in Mandalay, the second largest city of Myanmar. Endi
