GDP up by 0.4 pct both in eurozone, EU in Q1 2015

The seasonally-adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 0.4 percent in both the euro zone and the European Union (EU) during the first quarter of 2015, compared to the previous quarter, according to flash estimates published by Eurostat on Wednesday.

By contrast, GDP grew by 0.3 percent in the euro zone and by 0.4 percent in the EU in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP rose by 1.0 percent in the euro zone and by 1.4 percent in the EU in the first quarter of 2015. Endit
