Over 1,000 athletes attend Ironman triathlon in central Vietnam

Over 1,000 competitors from 54 countries and regions took part in the Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Da Nang city in central Vietnam on Sunday.

The Ironman 70.3 triathlon comprises three events, including 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21km half-marathon run.

James Cunnama from South Africa won the first title of the Ironman 70.3 triathlon after finishing nearly 113km racing with three hours, 51 minutes and 29 seconds, reported Vietnam' s state-run news agency VNA.

This is the first time Ironman 70.3 triathlon came to Vietnam, which is the 30th country hosting the event worldwide. Endi
