Tim Cahill hailed as fighter in China

Xinhua, May 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

Australia's World Cup veteran Tim Cahill was hailed as a "fighter" and "valuable asset" by Shanghai Shenhua president on Friday.

Cahill, who scored in all of his three World Cup finals, ended his goal drought in the Chinese Super League on April 25.

Shanghai Shenhua ranks seventh with 13 points from eight games, five away from the leader and cross-town rival Shanghai SIPG.

"Although Cahill scored few goals for Shenghua, he has proven himself as a highly professional player and a fully-devoted fighter," said Shenhua president Wu Xiaohui.

"He is a great help to Shenhua and a valuable asset," he added. Endi
