French stock market index down 0.29 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight decrease of 0.29 percent at 4,967.22 points on Thursday, down 14.37 points.

With investors anxiously waiting for the results of the British elections, the CAC 40 closed slightly lower on Thursday with 31 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The three companies that gained most on Thursday were AXA, up 2.32 percent, Alcatel-Lucent, up 2.43 percent, and Valeo, up 2.32 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Technip, down 4.40 percent, ArcelorMittal, down 2.54 percent, and Alstom, down 2.32 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a slight advance of 0.15 percent at 4,981.59 points, up 7.52 points. Endit
