Malaysian stock market closes lower

The Malaysian stock market ended lower here on Wednesday. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index ( KLCI) was at 1,820.97, down 6.45 points or 0.35 percent, and the Emas was at 12,554.60, down 34.80 points, or 0.28 percent.

There were 353 gainers, 453 losers and 313 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover declined to 1.92 billion shares valued at 1.80 billion ringgit Malaysia (504.06 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.82 billion shares valued at 1.93 billion ringgit Malaysia (534.33 million U.S. dollars) on Tuesday. Endi
