Iran will never accept "unusual" inspections into its nuclear establishments pursuant to a potential nuclear deal, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said here on Wednesday.
"What is certain about the inspections (into Iran's nuclear program) is that Iran will not accept to be a subject of unusual regime of inspections," Afkham said in her weekly press briefing.
Iran's nuclear case should be treated as that of other signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), she said, adding that "we will not accept to be an exception to the regulations, and we have announced it clearly to the negotiation parties."
Transparency is what Iran is open to implement regarding to its nuclear program, and in return Iran will enjoy its inalienable rights to peaceful nuclear activities, she said.
"Nuclear enrichment in Iran's soil is one of those rights we will take advantage of forever," she maintained.
Representatives from Iran and the P5+1 group, namely the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany, wrapped up their six-day work on drafting the text of a final nuclear deal on Tuesday in New York on the sidelines of the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
The next meeting will resume in the Austrian capital of Vienna next Tuesday, Araqchi added.
On April 2, Iran and the P5+1 group reached common understanding on outstanding issues ahead of the June 30 deadline. Endit
