Xinhua, May 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Casualties were feared as an explosion targeted a government employees' bus in the western part of Afghan capital Kabul on Monday morning, sources said.

The attack occurred near the country's Attorney General Office in Dar-ul-Aman road at around 8:25 a.m. (local time). "We still cannot provide precise details on causalities. There is fear of possible causalities," a security source told Xinhua, adding details will be revealed to public later on the day.

The bus was destroyed by the blast as seen by the Xinhua reporter.

Unofficial sources told Xinhua that at least one person was killed and six others wounded by the blast.

Government troops cordoned off the area shortly after the blast, keeping people from gathering at the scene for fears that there might be a second blast.

The Taliban militant group has reportedly claimed the responsibility for the incident. Endi
