7 policemen abducted in east Pakistan

Robbers in Pakistan's east Rahim Yar Khan district have kidnapped seven policemen, including an officer, on Sunday, local media reported.

Two dozen armed robbers stormed a police check post in Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan, a district in the country's east Punjab province, and kidnapped the cops, ARY News said.

The kidnappers also took away all the weapons in the post.

An additional contingent of police was called in to track down the robbers.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has directed the police to carry out an operation for the released of the abducted cops. Endi
