Ma cruises into singles final

Top-seeded Ma Long overpowered fellow Chinese Fan Zhendong in five sets to reach the men's singles final at the world table tennis championships on Sunday.

Ma, bidding for his first singles title at the world championships, was dominant with aggressive topspin play and cleverly-placed shots, winning over the Youth Olympics winner, 11-1, 11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5.
