6 killed in road accident in eastern Algeria

Xinhua, May 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Six people were killed on Saturday when a vehicle hit a semitrailer truck in the eastern province of Ghardaia, according to the firefighter department.

The accident occurred close to the Spa resort of Zelfana when the vehicle carrying four women and two girls, collided with a trailer coming from the opposite direction. Four passengers in the vehicle were killed on spot, said the source.

An investigation has been underway to probe into the accident.

In December, a bus hit a truck near Ghardaia, and killed 11 people, including nine Nigerian refugees who were on the road to be repatriated to their country of origin.

In another road accident on March 15, a bus collided with a tractor-trailer truck in the southernmost province of Tamanrasset, killing 11. Endit
