Newly-promoted Chongqing tie Shandong 2-2 in Chinese Super League

Two powerful headers put Chongqing Lifan to a 2-2 draw with Shandong Luneng on Saturday, in the eighth round of the Chinese Super League (CSL).

Guto gave Chongqing a surprising lead in the 6th minute, but Aloisio who leads in the CSL scorers rankings, made the equalizer 20 minutes later.

Luneng reversed the score through a counter attack in the 56th minute, as Liu Binbin scored his first goal of the season after receiving the pass from Zhang Wenzhao.

But Chongqing denied failure on home soil, while Emanuel Gigliotti made a goal from a corner kick in the 59th minute, which locked the score to 2-2.

Jiangsu Sainty got their 4th consecutive victory in Nanjing, which help them climb to the 5th place in CSL standings.

Sergio Escudero broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, Vidar Orn Kjartansson's short pass in the penalty area contributed the assist.

In the 93rd minute, Eduardo was shown a red card in a clash with Ren Hang, Shenxin still ranked 1st on standings from the bottom.

In another game on Saturday, Henan Jianye tied Guizhou Renhe in the score 1-1. Endi
