Xinhua, May 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Four people were killed and 28 others injured on Thursday after their vehicle stepped on a landmine in Gao (northeast Mali), hospital sources in the area told Xinhua.

The passenger vehicle stepped on a landmine near Doro, a locality situated between Gossi and Gao, Gao residents said.

According to some of the survivors, the vehicle stepped on an explosive device that was left behind by two men who were riding on a motorcycle.

In the last few weeks, a number of vehicles belonging to the United Nations Mission in Mali have been involved in accidents caused by landmines in Gao region. Endi
