Chinese, Russian vice premiers discuss cooperation over phone

Xinhua, April 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and his Russian counterpart, Arkady Dvorkovich, held phone talks on Friday over bilateral cooperation.

Zhang and Dvorkovich co-chaired a China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee meeting earlier this month in Beijing.

During the phone talks, Zhang expressed the hope that the related departments and enterprises of the two countries will actively implement the agreements reached at the committee meeting and carry forward energy cooperation between the two countries.

Zhang said that China attaches great importance to the promotion of cooperation on major projects in transport infrastructure, such as high-speed railways.

Zhang expressed the hope that the two sides will speed up work in line with the principle of mutual benefit and win-win results, and prepare more achievements for a summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin in May.

Dvorkovich said that Russia attaches great importance to the expansion of pragmatic cooperation with China, and that Russia is willing to continue to work with China to actively advance bilateral cooperation on major projects, such as high-speed railways, and further deepen cooperation in energy and other areas.
