Myanmar president's political advisor retires from post

Xinhua, April 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Myanmar President U Thein Sein's political advisor Dr Nay Zin Latt has been allowed to retire from the Presidential Advisory Board, an order of the President's Office said Thursday.

Dr Nay Zin Latt was general secretary of Myanmar Hoteliers Association.

In 2013, another political advisor U Ye Tint, who was also a former editor-in-chief of the "Mirror" daily, had retired from the board.

The president formed a nine-member advisory board in May 2011 following the taking office of the present government in March this year.

The members of the president's advisory board were tasked to submit advice to the president with regard to economic, political and legal affairs, respectively. Endi
