Pakistan confirms 6 nationals died in Saudi collapse

Pakistan confirmed on Tuesday that its six nationals have died in collapse of a building in Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the building came down on Monday that trapped more than 50 workers.

Saudi officials said that Pakistani and Indian workers were killed in the incident of collapse of an under-construction building at Al-Qassim University in Buraidah area.

Seven Pakistanis sustained injuries, the Foreign Ministry said.

One of the injured has been released from the hospital, while the other six are in stable condition.

According to the Chief Executive of the Manazel Construction Company, Ahmad Othaim, two Pakistani workers are still missing.

A Foreign Ministry statement said Pakistani embassy officials along with a legal consultant are present at Al-Qassim to coordinate and supervise arrangements for the treatment of the injured citizens and for dispatch of dead bodies to Pakistan.

The Ambassador of Pakistan is in constant contact with the Chief Executive of the Manazel Construction Company, who has assured of full cooperation with the Embassy of Pakistan for the best possible treatment of the injured and expeditious dispatch of dead bodies to Pakistan. Endi
