State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Tuesday held one person in custody related to the terrorist attack that occurred on Monday evening in the entity of Republic of Srpska (RS), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Bosnian Muslim, Nerdin Ibric, 24, burst into a police station in the town of Zvornik Monday evening, killing one policeman and wounding two others. He was shot dead in the exchange of fire.

The suspect, with the initials A.F.H, is being detained in SIPA's regional bureau in Tuzla, where an inquiry is being held. After the inquiry, the suspect will be handed over to the state prosecutor's office.

"Meanwhile, many people are on hearing as witnesses of this case," SIPA said on Tuesday morning.

RS Minister of Interior Affairs Dragan Lukac said police blocked Ibric's house in the nearby village of Sapna after the attack. Lukac confirmed the on-site investigation was done and the examination of evidence was in progress.

"The situation after the terrorist attack is normal in Zvornik on Tuesday morning," Lukac said.

BiH Minister of Security of Bosnia Dragan Mektic claimed that Ibric was involved with radical Islamist groups in BiH. Endit
