Tokyo shares end higher by break

Tokyo shares ended the morning session higher Tuesday on sentiment boosted by Japan's earnings results.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 99.01 points, or 0.50 percent, from Monday to 20,082.33.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 8.50 points, or 0.52 percent, to 1,627. 57. Endi
