Consumer confidence edges up in Australia

Consumer confidence has lifted in Australia before next month's federal budget.

Confidence rebounded last week, largely due to continued strength in the housing market and optimism about the upcoming federal budget, the ANZ bank said in its weekly report on Tuesday.

It rose 2.8 percent in the week ending April 26, making up most of the ground lost by falls during the previous three weeks. Endi
