Tokyo stocks open higher on gains in European market

Tokyo shares opened higher Tuesday following gains in the overnight European market.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 126.82 points, or 0.63 percent, from Monday to 20,110.14.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 8.57 points, or 0.53 percent, to 1,627. 64. Endi
