Russian motorcyclists denied entry to Poland, return to Belarus

A group of 10 Russian motorcyclists temporarily canceled their travel from Moscow to Berlin on Monday following the refusal by the Polish authorities to grant them entry despite all of them had got visas.

"The motorcade was not allowed to get through the Polish border, " the Interfax news agency quoted the group's leader Andrei Bobrovsky as saying.

A team of a Russian television which was accompanying the motorcade was also denied entry.

The motorcyclists have returned to the Belarusian port city of Brest, and Bobrovsky said they planned to remain there until Tuesday to see what else they could do.

Earlier in the day, the Kremlin expressed its regret over the Polish decision. "We express deep regret in connection with that decision," the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The motorcyclists belonging to the Russian Night Wolves club began their trip on Saturday with a preliminary plan to cross several European cities before arriving in the German capital of Berlin on May 9 in a bid to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War. Endite
