Xinhua, April 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least nine people died while eight others survived after a boat they were on capsized on a lake in northern Zambia's Nsama district, state-run news agency reported on Monday.

The nine people died when the boat capsized on Lake Mweru Wantipa in the early hours of Sunday, according to the Zambia News and Information Service (ZANIS), which quoted district commissioner Panji Chilingala and provincial deputy police commissioner Alfred Nawa.

Meanwhile, the district commissioner said the government was doing everything possible to retrieve the remaining bodies.

A search team, that comprises local people and government agencies, is currently busy searching for the remaining bodies, he added. Endi
