Singapore stocks close 0.08 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 2.85 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,515.85.

A total of 1.78 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 27 billion Singapore dollars (953.85 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 258 to 200, while 470 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 10.25 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 3,513.00 on Friday. Endi
