Wizards sweep Raptors into second round of NBA Playoffs

The Washington Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors in four games by winning 125-94 here on Sunday to close the NBA Eastern Conference first round playoffs series.

Six Wizards scored in double figures as Marcin Gortat had 21 points and 11 rebounds and John Wall grabbed 14 points and 10 assists. Bradley Beal finished with 23 points and Pierce with 14.

Kyle Lowry scored 21 fot the Raptors and DeMar DeRozan had 14.

Washington led by 16 in the first quarter and extended the cushion to as many as 32 on 102-70 to enter the fourth period. Toronto went 3-0 against Washington in the regular season, but failed to find the regular season rhythm in the playoffs. Endit
