5 killed in quake in East India

Five people, including two children, were killed Saturday when buildings collapsed in different parts of the eastern Indian state of Bihar following a strong earthquake, whose epicenter is in Nepel, said police.

The two children of the same family died in a wall collapse in Bhagalpur. The three others were killed in Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Vaishali.

Tremors were felt in various cities of Bihar, with electricity and telephone services were affected across the state.

Massive tremors were felt across northern and eastern India after a strong quake of 7.7 degree on Richter scale hit Nepal. Endi
