Flights resume at Yangon's main airport in Myanmar

Xinhua, April 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

Myanmar's Yangon International Airport has reopened after being forced to close Thursday due to strong wind and blackout in the airport area, sources with the airport said on Friday.

Upon reopening, flights at the airport have resumed normal operations, the sources said.

The authorities announced suspension of flight services at the airport starting 6 p.m. (local time) on Thursday.

Strong wind stroke some areas in southern Myanmar, including Yangon, Thursday evening, bringing down some trees and hindering the traffic flow. Endi
