BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) - The dismissal of Qiu He, former deputy chief of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Yunnan provincial committee, from his position as a national legislator was finalized on Friday.

Qiu was removed from his post as deputy to the 12th National People's Congress on March 26 by the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress.

The NPC Standing Committee reviewed and upheld Yunnan's decision at its bimonthly session, which ran from Monday to Friday.

The central antigraft body said on March 15 that Qiu was under investigation for serious violations. Endi
