Australian stocks close 1.5 pct higher

The Australian share market closed 1.5 percent higher on Friday, posting its best rally in five weeks boosted by rising resource stocks.

At the official market close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index had gained 88.5 points, or 1.51 percent, to 5,933.3, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 86.5 points, or 1.49 percent, at 5,906.8. Endi
