French stock market index down 0.62 pct

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.62 percent at 5,178.91 points on Thursday, down 32.18 points.

Affected by the slowdown of the growth in private sector in the eurozone, the CAC 40 closed slightly lower with 29 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease, while BNP Paribas stayed the same as previous trading day.

Thursday's top three gainers were Michelin, up 6.48 percent, Pernod Ricard, up 2.38 percent, and ArcelorMittal, up 1.39 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Thursday were Alcatel-Lucent, down 3.87 percent, Peugeot, down 2.75 percent, and Saint Gobain, down 2.07 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.36 percent at 5,211.09 points, up 18.45 points. Enditem
