At least two people were killed and eight others were injured in an explosion of fireworks warehouse on Thursday in the central Russian city of Oryol, local authorities said.

"Two workers of the warehouse died, and eight others have been hospitalized," the Interfax news agency quoted the press secretary of local interior ministry as saying.

However, according to regional emergency ministry, 11 people with burns, including several children, have been rushed to a local hospital.

The emergency ministry added that the fire has been localized.

The explosion reportedly occurred at 14:30 Moscow time (1130 GMT). Endi
