FIFA grassroots coaching course kicks off in Tajikistan

Xinhua, April 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

A three-day FIFA grassroots coaching course kicked off here on Thursday, Tajikistan's Football Federation (TFF) said.

More than 20 participants from all regions of Tajikistan are attending the course supervised by Alexander Chernukho, a FIFA instructor from Belarus.

The trainees will be taught how to educate children on core football principles and to boost football development at the local level.

The TFF general secretary Islom Mahmadshoev made an address at the opening ceremony and wished the participants fruitful work in their training.

A festival, which involved the children from regions across the country, will be also organized to mark the end of the three-day course.

The FIFA grassroots program is aimed at helping to develop the game at the grassroots level.

The program places at its core emphasis on the notion of both education and fun for the children and targets boys and girls aged 6-12 years through school, community and club initiatives. Endi
