Kenya arrests two suspects over Garissa attack

Kenya's security forces have captured two more terror suspects for financing the Garissa University College attack that left 148 people dead.

Muslim cleric Sheikh Mohammed Mursi and businessman Zadock Agutu are the latest arrested in an ongoing probe into the university massacre.

The two appeared in a Nairobi court late on Tuesday without being asked to plead as police asked the court to allow keeping them in custody for 30 days and five days respectively, pending an investigation.

The authorities say they are investigating the two suspects' bank accounts and mobile phone records.

Prosecutor Duncan Ondimu said the two were allegedly in contact with the main suspect behind the massacre, Mohammed Kuno, an Al- Shabaab senior official.

Kuno, a Kenyan-Somali, was a headmaster at a Islamic school in Garissa. He is blamed for several attacks in Kenya.
