Nikkei climbs over 20,000 line on robust Japan trade data

Tokyo stocks climbed to a fresh 15- year high above 20,000 points Wednesday morning on robust data showing Japan logged its first trade surplus in nearly three years in March.

The 225-issue Nikkei soared 214.28 points, or 1.08 percent, from Tuesday to 20,123.37.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange jumped 13.44 points, or 0.84 percent, to 1, 622.32.

Major gainers included bank, brokerage and insurance issues. Endi
