Albania mine accident kills one Chinese worker, injures another

A serious accident at a chrome mine in Bulqize in northern Albania took the life of a Chinese worker and badly wounded another on Tuesday.

The wounded Chinese was transported to a military hospital in Tirana by a helicopter sent by Albanian health authorities.

The accident happened at shaft number 9 chrome mine in Bulqize, which was owned by Albanian Albchrome company of Balfin Group.

The two Chinese workers are both from Wenzhou Engineering and Mining Co. Ltd, which contracted with AlbChrome to install machinery and equipment required for the work of miners. Enditem
