Australia could enjoy economic growth while cutting greenhouse gases, a leading university report said on Tuesday.

The Australian National University's (ANU) Centre For Climate Economics latest report said the economy could benefit from stronger climate-change policies.

The report came a day after Australia was questioned by the U.S. and China over the current government's conservative views on climate change and the slow pace of policy reform in the area.

The report said it was possible for Australia to achieve zero net emissions by 2050. Endi
