Filipinos' satisfaction with Aquino gov't hits record low: poll

Xinhua, April 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Less than half of Filipinos are satisfied with Aquino administration in the first quarter of this year, a latest poll taken by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed Tuesday.

According to the SWS poll, 48 percent of respondents were satisfied with the administration, 29 percent dissatisfied and 23 percent were undecided. The satisfaction rate was a record low since President Benigno Aquino took office in 2010.

In the previous quarter, the fourth quarter of 2014, some 58 percent were satisfied, 24 percent were dissatisfied and 17 percent were undecided.

The administration was thus given a record-low "moderate" net satisfaction rating of +19 (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied), a 15-point drop from the "good" +34 rating during 2014's fourth quarter.

In the same period last year, the first quarter of 2014, the administration had a "good" +45 net satisfaction rating. Endi
