Tuchel to coach Dortmund next season

The 41-year-old German Thomas Tuchel has signed a three-year contract to work as head coach of Borussia Dortmund after the end of the current season, the Bundesliga club announced on Sunday.

Dortmund and long-time serving coach Jurgen Klopp agreed to part ways after the current season. And Tuchel will succeed Klopp as the new head coach for Dortmund and start work on July 1.

Tuchel had been coach of FSV Mainz from 2009 to 2014, which is his only coaching experience so far.

Under Klopp the "BVB" lifted the German championship in 2011 and the German domestic double in 2012. Besides that he led his squad into the UEFA Champions League final 2013 which they lost 2-1 to league rivals Bayern Munich.

Dortmund are currently sitting on the 10th position in the league table. Endi
