Ancelotti expects Iker and himself to be at Real Madrid next season

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on Friday that he fully expects to be at the club next season.

The Italian, who last season led the club to their 10th Champions League, still has a season remaining on his contract, but the fact there have not yet been any talks to extend his deal, while other jobs, could well become available over the summer, have led to speculation that he could abandon the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of next season.

There has been similar speculation over goalkeeper Iker Casillas who has increasingly become the target of criticism for a sector of fans.

However, speaking to the press ahead of Real Madrid's home game against Malaga, Ancelotti said he was not expecting a change for either of them.

"I see myself here next season along with Casillas, and with all of the players who have done well," replied the coach.

"It is not really an important at the moment, because we are concentrated on the job we have to do," he commented.

Real Madrid's next game is on Saturday at home to Malaga and Ancelotti revealed that striker Karim Benzema would miss out with a muscle problem, but that he would be fit for the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

"The team is focused on Saturday's game for the moment, not on Wednesday, we are all motivated to do well," he assured. Endit
