Nepali PM to visit Indonesia for Bangdung Conference commemoration

Nepali Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is leaving for Jakarta, Indonesia on April 20 to take part in the commemorations of the 60th anniversary of Bangdung Conference, a senior government official said on Friday.
Officiating Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi said that the prime minister will lead a 11-member delegation to the event.
Meanwhile, Nepalese Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey is leaving for Jakarta on Saturday to attend the Asian-African Ministerial Meeting on April 20, Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The ministerial meeting will be organized in the context of Asian-African Summit (AAS) to be held from April 22 to 23 in Jakarta. It will be preceded by the Senior Officials Meeting on April 19.
Pandey will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from neighboring and other countries during his visit.
The AAS will be followed by the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conference and the 10th anniversary of the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership slated for April 24 in Bandung, Indonesia, read the statement.
The theme of the summit is"Strengthening South-South Cooperation to Promote World Peace and Security." Endi
