Chinese stocks close higher Friday

Chinese stocks ended higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.2 percent, or 92.47 points, to finish at 4,287.3 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.3 percent, or 181.54 points, to close at 14,149.34 points.

However, the ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, shed 0.82 percent, or 20.86 points, to end at 2,535.77 points. Endi
