10 militants killed in army air raid in NW Pakistan

At least 10 militants were killed and six others arrested when the Pakistani army launched an offensive in the country's northwest Orakzai agency on Thursday, local media reported.

Samaa TV said that the army jet fighters pounded 12 hideouts of suspected militants in Shekhan town of Orakzai Agency, a restive area located at the tribal belt along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In a search operation in the area, the troops arrested six suspects who were shifted to an undisclosed location for investigations.

Identities of the killed militants have not been revealed by the forces yet.

Thursday's air raid is the continuation of Operation Zarb-e- Azb in tribal area of Pakistan which has so far killed over 2000 militants. Endi
