INTERPOL World 2015 offers platform for security industry

Xinhua, April 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

As INTERPOL World Congress discussed topics on border management, cybersecurity, safe cities and supply chain security in Singapore, INTERPOL World 2015 attracted 258 industry players from 29 countries from Tuesday to Thursday.

Exhibitors including those from the U.S., Australia, Germany, Israel, Japan, India and China showcased a vast range of cutting- edge technological solutions which address pertinent issues such as cybersecurity, public safety, surveillance, intelligence, forensics and investigations, counter-terrorism, and anti- counterfeiting.

Nearly 8,000 police, law enforcement agencies, government officials and commercial buyers participated in the exhibition over the three days, said the organizer in a news release.

Seven companies from China (Hong Kong included) participated in INTERPOL World 2015, a biennial gathering in the security industry. A designer and manufacturer of professional mobile radio communications equipment Hytera, one of the seven enterprises, is officially launching and showcasing its new SmartOne product during the exhibition.

"Hytera's products concentrate in the area of public security, one of the theme of INTERPOL World 2015, that's the reason why our companies join the exhibition," said Hytera's Deputy General Manager MK Wong.

He added that he didn't see many Chinese enterprises participating in international exhibitions like this.

Wong noted that Chinese enterprises should pay more attention to international standards when propelling products made in China around the world. Standardized product designs, timely disclosure of relevant information about listing companies can help Chinese enterprises to build credibility. Meanwhile, a comprehensive understanding of customers' needs also contributes to customized services for targeted customers. Endi
