Chelsea have agreed to a 6. 7 million US-dollar fee to sign Brazilian starlet Nathan, according to media reports on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old has undergone a medical at Stamford Bridge and is expected to be confirmed as a Chelsea player this week, according to Brazil's Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.

Chelsea are understood to have beaten off interest from Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool to sign the playmaker.

Nathan attracted the attention of European clubs by scoring five goals at the FIFA under-17 World Cup in 2013.

He has since impressed wearing the No.10 shirt for the Selecao' s under 20 team and Brazilian top-flight club Atletico Paranaense.

Nathan would be the fifth Brazilian in Jose Mourinho's squad, joining Oscar, Filipe Luis, Ramires and Willian. Endite
