Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday provided an overview of potential Albania offers to foreign investors at an investment forum in Abu Dhabi, during his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he met with the crown prince.
Citing a broad range of potential investment activities open to foreign investment, Rama described Albania as a country of opportunity for foreign investors, highlighting that the Albanian government had focused its efforts on developing a new economic model based on the recovery of strategic sectors, according to local media reports.
"We would be very interested in furthering our relations in areas like energy and hydro resources. We are quite as much interested in exploring the opportunities for cooperation in the treatment of drinking water which is in abundance and of high quality in Albania. We are interested in attracting direct foreign investments in tourism," Rama was quoted as saying.
Rama stressed that Albania invited investments from the UAE, not only as a potential for economic development in the country, but also as a chance for both countries to boost cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as tourism, the agro-industry, processing or industrial areas. Endit
