The UN Security Council on Tuesday urged all Yemeni parties in a resolution to adhere to resolving their differences through dialogue and consultation.

The resolution was adopted with 14 votes in favor while Russia abstained.

"The resolution is extremely important for restoring stability in Yemen and promoting a political solution," China's permanent representative to the UN Liu Jieyi told the council after the adoption.

"There is no military solution and political negotiation is the only way out" in resolving Yemen's crisis, he added. Endi
