Pele's son favorite to coach Brazil Serie B club

The son of soccer legend Pele is in talks to coach Brazilian club Mogi Mirim, according to media reports.

The 44-year-old former Santos goalkeeper is favorite to replace Claudinho Batista as manager of the Serie B outfit, Lancenet reported on Monday.

His appointment is said to have come at the behest of former Brazil great Rivaldo, who is now Mogi Mirim's president.

Edinho was released from jail in November while he appeals a 33-year prison sentence for laundering money to a drug gang.

He is currently an assistant coach for Santos, where his father scored 1,091 goals from 1,116 matches from 1956 to 1974. Endi
